Dear Roadrunner Families,
It's hard to believe we've already reached the end of the second quarter and are embarking on the third! The year is moving quickly, and we've already seen so much growth and learning from our students.
This week, our hearts are heavy with the news of the devastating plane crash in Washington, D.C. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families and friends affected by this tragedy. In times like these, it's more important than ever to hold our loved ones close and cherish the moments we have together.
As we begin the third quarter, we have much to look forward to. Please see the above list of important dates and events to mark on your calendars!
We're excited for what the rest of the year holds and look forward to continuing to partner with you in supporting our students' success. We are a strong community, and together, we can make this a fantastic second half of the school year.
Sincerely,
Christie Yarn, Principal
Alison Butler, Assistant Principal

Our school's Action Team for Partnerships (ATP) is a group of dedicated parents, staff, and community members working together to strengthen our school through collaboration. The ATP focuses on building and maintaining productive partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit our students. We plan, implement, and evaluate these partnerships to improve student outcomes. The ATP also works to engage families and the wider community in our school.
Our goals include:
- Focus on collaboration: The primary purpose is to facilitate collaboration between different entities like school staff, parents, community organizations, and businesses to work towards shared objectives.
- Strategic planning: ATPs are responsible for identifying potential partners, developing partnership goals, creating detailed action plans, and assigning responsibilities to ensure successful collaboration.
- Communication and engagement: They actively engage with partners through outreach, communication strategies, and regular meetings to maintain strong relationships and alignment.
- Monitoring and evaluation: ATPs regularly assess the effectiveness of partnership initiatives through data collection and analysis to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate impact.
- Diverse membership: Ideally, an ATP includes representatives from different stakeholder groups within the organization, such as teachers, administrators, parents, and community leaders, to provide diverse perspectives and ensure inclusivity.
